Think Cirrano de Bergerac without the large nose and with a large hat.

Appearance: Of average height and look, the only things that separates Axle from the common human are his ears and his eyes. The former are understandable and he takes great pain to hide them underneath his copious and voluminous and did I mention large hat, the type that curves upward on one end and has a feather sticking out of it, sans the feather. The latter however is a different matter altogether. There is knowledge in them, far too much have the eyes seen to keep it behind a facade. They are the one flaw on his otherwise blank slate. Still, they haven’t been the death of him yet and he wont question his luck.
Background: For, you see, Axle is an up and coming member of the Royal Eyes of Aundair, and his humble appearance has served him well as a mannequin for everything else. It turns out that if one is bland, others will remember the accessories, and Axle has quite the number of accessories. His latest mission, however, has left him wanting for the need of them. He was to intercept and assume the role of an ambassador to the Demon Wastes, to meet with the leader of the Gash’kala Orc Tribe (the ones who believe it is their sacred duty to guard from the coming of demons onto the Dragon Between). The mission went smoothly enough, too smoothly for Axles tastes who quickly grew bored of sitting around for days while the shamans discussed their useless prattle. Still, as far as he was concerned the mission was a success and Aundair’s queen got the information she wanted and he was free to go about his business for some time to follow… or so he thought. In his boredom he had forgotten one crucial bit of information, the previous ambassador… and the rest I’ll leave up to you.
